Thanks to everyone who came to our Cheerful Chickens workshop yesterday. We had great fun choosing colourful collage papers and turning them into lots of characterful chickens complete with their own little chicks. It was a simple and effective workshop with loads of room for individual ideas and approaches which made each piece unique. Next month we’re tackling a tulip field painting. Wow what a lovely day we’ve had making our paper bag stars! We welcomed some new children and saw regulars too. Everyone learnt the method so well and took home some beautifully decorated stripy pom pom stars. It was great to see some parents too who enjoyed making their own stars. Very satisfying and super creative. Thank you everyone.

Some evening printing using a @primark.home placemat. I saw them in the shop and thought they’d be ideal to print with. The reverse takes the acrylic paint well using a sponge roller and you can also use them as a stencil with paint in spray bottles. I cut them out and hung them in the house. They make quite a statement - definitely in the maximalist vein!

Amazing artwork from a starry night themed birthday party. Everyone did a brilliant job using acrylic paint and various techniques with natural sponges and fan brushes. We all felt proud!

No10 Art club - we’re having more fun with natural paints again. We made charcoal paint by crushing it up and adding water. We used all the colours to make collage papers with the natural brushes we made from leaves and twigs.

Thanks to everyone who came to our Kusama inspired mushroom workshop. Everyone produced a vibrant and unique piece of art. We enjoyed adding dots and dashes and all kinds of patterns to our infinity nets and mushrooms. We love Posca pens!

No10 art club is back and we’re using natural art materials this term. We used charcoal and painted with inks made from teabags, cabbage, coffee, lemon juice and spices to create our landscapes. Thanks to @pippapixley for the inspiration from her book - Make Art with Nature. The results are so subtle and beautiful.

We’ve finished our cards and wrap at No10 art club, all inspired by the amazing work at @cambridgeimprint. We used a collagraph technique with foam shapes on cardboard. We chose bold colours and shapes to create a graphic style. They look lovely all displayed together!
